Mr Owen specialises in lower limb surgery. He has over 15 years experience in orthopaedic surgery and has been employed as a specialist knee consultant by the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust since 2004. He frequently performs all types of knee surgery, including arthroscopic (keyhole) ligament reconstruction (ACL), cartilage and meniscal repair, patella (kneecap) realignment and stabilisation, and corrective osteotomy. Mr Owen also undertakes a range of knee joint replacements including the Patello-Femoral joint (kneecap) replacement, partial articular (Oxford half-knee) replacement, total knee replacement and revision knee replacement. In addition, he has extensive experience in minimally invasive hip replacement surgery. Mr Owen also undertakes corrective big toe surgery.Mr Owen's particular interest is in sports related injury.
